Easy Maple Roasted Carrots Recipe
Roasting brings out the sweetness in vegetables! Adding maple syrup and butter will caramelize any vegetables and your kids and you will want some more!
The recipe will serve 4.
Ingredients
- 1 ½ pounds organic carrots, sliced 1/4 inch thick on the diagonal
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 4 tablespoons pure maple syrup
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon ground pepper
- 2 teaspoons snipped fresh chives (optional)
Directions
Step 1
- Preheat your oven to 400 degrees F before the beginning of the recipe.
Step 2
- After preparing the carrots as above, stir them with the butter, maple syrup. Add salt and pepper together in a large bowl. Spread evenly on a large rimmed baking sheet and roast, stirring once, until tender, 20 to 25 minutes. Sprinkle with chives, if desired.
